Q. What is the eligibility criteria?

A. In order to apply for the scholarship, a candidate must –

  • Be a member of socially and economically disadvantaged section in the BPL category
  • Have passed Class-XII from a recognised Board of Secondary Education in India
  • Be an on-roll student pursuing 1st Year of under graduation.

Q. What is the application process?

A. Online and by Post

Step 1- Fresh candidates need to register themselves here.

Step 2- Registered candidates need to login here.

Step 3- Download and fill the Application form.

Step 4- Once you have filled in the form successfully, you will be allotted an 8 digit auto generated 'Confirmation Code' which should be kept safe for future correspondence with FAEA.

Step 5- The following documents are needed to be submitted to get the scholarship amount released:

  • Copy of the Grant letter signed by the FAEA scholar.
  • Photocopy of Class Xth marksheet & certificate properly attested by the Principal of the school/college.
  • Photocopy of Class XIIth marksheet & certificate properly attested by the Principal of the school/college.
  • 3 recent passport size photographs properly attested by the Principal/Journal Officer of Govt. of India.
  • Recent Family Income certificate issued by the authorised Govt. Agency/department.
  • Certificate of Caste, in case of SC/ST and OBC, issued by the authorised Govt. Agency/department.
  • “Scholarship declaration” letter signed by the student and properly attested by the College Principal.
  • Permanent mailing address form, properly and completely filled.
  • Mailing address form, properly and completely filled.
  • College details form, properly and completely filled.
  • Course details form, properly and completely filled.
  • Bank details form, properly and completely filled.
  • Expenditure certificate/Fee certificate issued by the Principal of college or Expenditure certificate prepared by FAEA scholar and attested by the Principal or Annual Fee certificate/ Expenditure certificate can also be issued by the college. (This certificate of expenditure should contain all the details.)
  • Annual Hostel and Mess Certificate issued and properly attested by the Principal.

A. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews across India in the metropolitan city. Thereafter, a national panel will make the final selection and results will be declared. The support granted shall be subject to the candidate being accepted by the host university/institution/college.
