Q. What is the eligibility criteria?
A. The candidates interested in applying for this scholarship need to fulfill the following eligibility conditions –

  • For Post-Doctoral: - Candidates should have scored 60% and above marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master's Degree/Ph.D
  • For Ph.D: - Candidates should have scored 60% and above marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master's Degree.
  • For Master's Degree: - Candidates should have scored 60% and above marks or equivalent grade in relevant Bachelor Degree. 
  • The student must be a domicile of Karnataka.
  • Only one candidate is eligible to take benefit of this scheme from one family.
  • The student must be below 38 years from the date of commencement of the opted course or subjects selected for higher studies.
  • Candidates income/his or her parental income should not exceed INR 6 lakh from all sources.

Q. What is the application process?
A. Procedure to apply for the scholarship is –
Step 1- Visit the official website of Directorate of Minorities www.gokdom.kar.nic.in.
Step 2- Existing users can login with their credentials; new users need to register themselves.
Step 3- Enter the registration details and fill-in the application form with academic details, personal details and save the form.
Step 4- Upload the essential documents and submit the form.

Q. How many candidates will get the scholarship? 
A. Candidate whose income or his/her parental income is less than INR 6 lakh per annum from all sources will get this scholarship.

A. Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview conducted by the selection committee.
